Description

Not sure what was going on, but as we were checking into our rooms there was a large crowd gathered in the plaza next to the hotel. (There is a second group on the street beyond the plaza.) To the left (out of this picture) is the Old Yishuv Synagogue and a war memorial. After the trip, I discovered that it was possibly part of a nationwide protest against the Israeli government. This was around the time that a report on the first days of the 2006 war with Lebanon was released. Many (including the Foreign Minister) were calling for the Prime Minister to resign.
