English: Cucurbitacin I does not affect the motility of Dictyostelium amoebae. Dictyostelium discoidium (strain NC4A2) were plated for 1 h in HL5 medium on a Petri dish and then imaged every 15 s at room temperature. After 1 h, cucurbitacin I was added to 200 nM, and the cells were imaged for 1.5 h. The concentration of cucurbitacin I was then raised to 2 µM and imaging was continued for another 1.5 h. |
