Description
Nederlands: Cupidosäule (der 'Eiserne Mann') aan de Nassauerallee in Kleve, De pilaar is gemaakt van een oude kanonsloop en werd oorspronkelijk opgesteld in 1653 door de Brandenburgse stadhouder Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen. Een afgietsel van deze veldslang werd geberuikt door Joseph Beuys voor zijn installatie Strassenbahnhaltestelle in Venetië, 1976, tegenwoordig in de collectie van het Kroller-Muller Museum, Otterlo. De Cupido-figuur werd gemaakt door Dieter von Levetzow.
