Description

Illustration of Ifugaos warrior with head trophies. Among the independent clans of the Ifugaos the custom of head-hunting grew up largely because the possession of a head was necessary before a feast of victory could be given. With the development of the province and the unification of the clans the practice is becoming obsolete.
