Description
English: Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Dr. Carol Davila visiting the Tabaci neighborhood of Bucharest during the 1862 floods. Tabaci is a former neighborhood name, referring to the area near the present-day Timpuri Noi metro station. It was once the neighborhood of tanners (Rom: tăbăcarii). There is a still a church called Biserica Apostol Tabaci at Str. Mircea Vodă (formerly Calea Văcăreşti) Nu. 143 / Str. Nerva Traian / Aleea Apahida.
