| Description | Limassol. It was from this modest house that Grivas controlled EOKA during its insurrection against British Rule. EOKA's aim was ENOSIS [ Union with Greece]. Grivas was bitterly disillusioned when Archbishop Makarios abandoned ENOSIS and, instead, installed himself as President of the Republic of Cyprus. |
