Das Wappen der Ortsgemeinde Gillenbeuren ist ein im Deichselschnittgeteilter Schild. Er beinhaltet oben in Grün drei goldene Ähren, vorne in Rot ein goldener, schrägrechter Stufenbalken, begleitet von oben drei, unten zwei goldenen Kreuzchen, hinten in Gold ein rotes, schräglinkes Schwert.

Object history Der Wappenschild weist auf die geschichtliche Vergangenheit der Gemeinde hin. Bereits 1462 besaßen die Winneburg-Beilsteiner (Sparrenbalken mit Kreuzchen) das Dorf Gillenbeuren zum Lehen und die Hochgerichtsbarkeit. Das Schwert ist das Zeichen des Hl. Martin, der seit 1220 Schutz- und Kirchenpatron der Pfarrgemeinde ist. Die drei Ähren erinnern an die Entstehung des Ortes als Gutshof, der die Naturalprodukte an die Lehnsherren ablieferte, aber auch an die noch heute betriebene Landwirtschaft.
