Deutsch: Eine farbige Zeichnung des Gemeindewappens vom Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts zeigt in Rot den schwarzen Großbuchstaben R, auf dem Schild stehend einen Hahn in natürlichen Farben. Als Vorbild diente ein Schultheißenamtssiegel von 1821. Die Gemeinde ersetzte 1936 dieses in mancher Hinsicht gegen heraldische Regeln verstoßende Wappen durch ein neues, das in von Silber und Rot geteiltem Schild im unteren Feld einen silbernen Hahn zeigte, also den Hohenberger Schild, der um den Hahn aus den Gemeindesiegeln bereichert ist. Renquishausen wurde mit der Grafschaft Hohenberg von Graf Rudolf von Hohenberg 1381 an Österreich verkauft, das die Landeshoheit bis 1805 innehatte. Eine Erklärung für den Hahn konnte bisher nicht gefunden werden. Das Wappen wurde später durch Verschiebung der Teilungslinie nach oben geändert. Am 11. Mai 1965 wurde es in dieser Form zusammen mit der Flagge vom Innenministerium neu verliehen. |
