English: The arms were officially granted on January 9, 1956. „The T stands for the name of the municipality, as well as for St. Anthony, after whom the city is named. His symbol is the tau-cross (or T-shaped cross)."
Deutsch: „Ein in Gold (Gelb) schwebendes blaues Antoniuskreuz“ Es handelt sich um ein sogenanntes "redendes Wappen". Das Zeichen "T" für den hl. Antonius (St. Tönis) als Schutzpatron der Gemeinde. Grundlage für das Wappen ist das aus dem Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts stammende Schöffensiegel der Gemeinde. Das Wappen zeigt auf goldenem Schild den blauen Taustab, das Antoniuskreuz.
