Description
English: The arms were officially granted in 1995. „The arms show St. Anne, patron saint of Schaag. The tree is canting (s'haag = clear forestry) and the waterlily is from the arms of Nettetal."
Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) über einem blauen Schildfuß, darin eine silberne (weiße) Seerose mit goldenen (gelben) Butzen, umgeben von fünf goldenen (gelben) Seerosenblättern, die hl. Anna mit ihrem Kind auf dem Schoß in Silber (Weiß), im linken Obereck eine fünfblättrige grüne Eiche.“ Obwohl es sich hier eindeutig um ein Wappen handelt, wird es offiziell als "Erkennungszeichen" bezeichnet. Es zeigt in der oberen Hälfte die Figur der heiligen Mutter Anna bezugnehmend zur hiesigen Pfarrkirche; der Baum stellt den Bezug zur Entstehung des Namens Schaag (s'haag = lichte Waldung) her. Die Seerose stammt aus dem Wappen der Stadt Nettetal, als Zeichen der Zugehörigkeit.
