| Description |
English: Pfalzbahn (Palatinate Railway) Class T5 (DRG Class 94.0) 0-10-0T No.307 (DRG No.94 002) built in 1907. The four Class T5's were built for the steeply graded Pirmasens - Biebermuhl line but on nationalisation they proved inferior to similar Prussian and Saxon large tank locos. They were withdrawn in 1926. However, No.94 002 was sold to the Eschweiler Mining Union and used at the Baesweiler colliery as No.3 "Carl Alexander". It was a very successful shunter and was in use until 1974; it was subsequently bought for preservation. At the Neustadt-Weinstrasse Eisenbahn Museum, 1 May 2018. |
