Description
English: A Douglas DC-3 (registration NC16004) of American Airlines being serviced on the ground. Specifically, this is a DST (Douglas Sleeper Transport), the DC-3's sleeper version; the narrow windows above the main window line are for the upper sleeping berths. In the background, climbing steeply, is the Goodyear blimp Enterprise (NC-16A), which was transferred to the U.S. Navy in 1942 as the L-class blimp L-5.
