Originalmente produzida em 1875, mas esta é uma versão republicada contida na obra de 1879 entitulada Da França ao Japão: narração de viagem e descripção histórica, usos e costumes dos habitantes da China, do Japão e de outros países da Ásia (p. 67), por pt:Francisco Antônio de Almeida Júnior. A versão original foi feita por cidadãos de Hezhou e circulou por Shunqing. De acordo com a obra Sichuan anti-missionary incidents and Boxer Rebellion documents（《四川教案与义和拳档案》）, o General de Chengdu e o governador de Sichuan decretaram a proibição destes materiais anti-missionários em 21 maio de 1875: 照得天主教劝人为善，奉旨弛禁已久。从教与不从教各听其便。兹据洪主教函称，合州地方有好事之徒，刊印《膺戎图》并新增《勤王录》，在于顺庆一带张贴散布，殊属显违条约。除札川北道遵办外，合亟札饬。札到该道即便遵照，转饬重庆府、合州、顺庆府、南充县密查严禁。勿使该教有所借口，以弭衅端。切切特札 — 成都将军四川总督饬令查禁《膺戎图》等反洋教书刊札光绪元年四月十七日（1875年5月21日）, in: 《四川教案与义和拳档案》，306页 English: A piece of pro-Qing, anti-foreigner polemic extolling the Qing officials Li Hongzhang (top middle), Bao Chao (top right), and Tian Xingshu (top left), while the bottom panels attack foreigners, Christianity, and Christian ministers. Originally produced in 1875, but this is a republished version contained in the 1879 work Da França ao Japão: narração de viagem e descripção histórica, usos e costumes dos habitantes da China, do Japão e de outros países da Ásia. The original was made by local people in Hezhou and circulated around Shunqing.
