Description
English: The U.S. Navy submarine USS Growler (SS-215) alongside the submarine tender USS Fulton (AS-11) at Brisbane, Australia, in February 1943, after ramming the 900 ton Japanese cargo ship Hayasaki in the Bismarck Islands area on 7 February 1943. The front 7.6 m (25 ft) of the bow was bent over in the collision, but the pressure hull was not damaged.
