Description
English:
The six-storey tenement house built in neo-baroque style has two individual stairways; between the first and the second floors, in individual ornate wall niches there are almost man-sized puttos. One of the residents of number 40 was Imre Antal, Erkel Ferenc Award-winner Hungarian pianist, television personality. Resident living under number 42, among others, was Aurél Liffa, Hungarian geologist, mineralogist and discoverer of kaolin in Hungary. The building was a participant of Budapest100 (2021) event - 40-42 Damjanich Street, 7th district of Budapest.

Hattemeletes ikerbérház északkeleti épület. Lépcsőház udvar felőli oldal. Épületdísz. Az épület az ún. városligeti Kasselik-telekre épült. Tervező: Reiss Zoltán, Építés éve: 1927, 1928. A 40 szám híres lakója volt Antal Imre, a 42 számé Liffa Aurél és Für Lajos. 1933-ban benzinkút volt a két ház között. Homlokzatán Für Lajos (1930-2013) magyar történész, politikus, honvédelmi miniszter emléktáblája (Lantos Györgyi alkotása, felavatva: 2015) és Liffa Aurél emléktáblája. A fénykép a BP100 - Újratervezés (2021) program idején készült. Megj. 2021 októberben 'BP100 - Ablak a Bartókra (2021)' rendezvény is volt!
