English: Tropical Storm Damrey is seen here in this image acquired by the Suomi NPP satellite on July 31, 2012 at 3:45 GMT (12:45 pm local JST). The Joint Typhoon Warning Center predicts a path that will take Damrey along the southern tip of Japan and into the Chinese mainland, making landfall near Shanghai on August 2nd. Currently, the storm has sustained winds of 51 mph and is expected to intensify to around 63 mph over the next 24 hours before dissipating. |
