Description
Deutsch: Gesamtanlage Landgraf-Georg-Straße in Darmstadt, Landgraf-Georg-Straße 5-19, Kaplaneigasse 10: Eine für die 1950er-Jahre typische städtebauliche Anlage aus zweigeschossigen Gebäuden im wechsel mit fünfgeschossigen Wohn- und Geschäftsbauten, die als Querriegel kammartig eingeschoben sind. Typische Details: weit überstehendes Flachdach, Rasterfassade, zurückgesetztes ebenerdiges Schaufenster-Geschoss. Die Gebäude Nr. 7 und 9 entworfen von Leon Schäfer für einen privaten Bauherrn, die restlichen Gebäude entworfen von Karl Teubner 1957-58 im Auftrag der DAHEIM-Wohnungsbaugesellschaft; errichtet 1960. Auf dem Bild im Vordergrund von Südosten zu sehen: das 5-geschossige Haus Kaplaneigasse Nr. 10, dahinter das 5-geschossige Gebäude Landgraf-Georg-Straße 15. Gut erkennbar sind die außergewöhnlichen, im Quadrat angeordneten runden Luftöffnungen im für Gemeinschaftseinrichtungen bestimmten Dachgeschoss.
