Deák Mausoleum in Kerepesi Cemetery. Tomb of Ferenc Deák. Built in 1879–1887, eclectic style. Architect: Kálmán Gerster. The height of its dome is not less than 27 meters. The angel statue on dome a György Kiss bronze work (1887; cast in Schlick's Iron Foundry). The statue of the Deák sarcophagus is the work of Alajos Strobl, the interior paintings are the work of Bertalan Székely. The ornamental sarcophagus was destroyed during World War II. The paintings are no longer visible either, as they were ruined in less than a decade. At this time, Székely also designed them in mosaic form, which was made by Miksa Róth in 1903. The sarcophagus, reminiscent of Renaissance papal tombs, was created by Alajos Stróbl. - Photo taken on Budapest100 'Architectural values of the Fiumei Road graveyard' guided walk. Deák-mauzóleum. A kupolán van a Gyászoló Géniusz (Kiss György, Schlick-féle Vasöntöde (bronzöntő, közreműködő)). A koszorút hozó, bal kezében pálmaágat tartó (6 méter magas) bronzangyal a kupola tetején, egy tartógömbön áll.[1] A reneszánsz pápasírokat idéző szarkofágot Stróbl Alajos alkotta meg. Székely Bertalan tervezte, Róth Miksa üvegművész készítette mozaikok: a lunettákban „az allegorikus jelenetek Deák Ferenc életének mozzanataira, az 1848-as forradalomra, a Kiegyezésre, illetve az általa fontosnak tartott politikai és emberi erényekre utalnak mint Justitia: Igazságosság, méltányosság (a bejárattal szemben), Prudentia: Ismeret, tudás (a bejárat fölött), Temperantia: Mértékletesség, önuralom (a bejárattól balra), Fortitudo: Erő, bátorság (a bejárattól jobbra), Az „Igazságosság" című képen maga Deák Ferenc is látható. A lunetták közötti négy ívháromszögben pálmaágat tartó géniuszok lebegnek. A mozaikok ismeretlen időpontban, 1903-ig készültek el.[2]. - Deák Ferenc mauzóleuma, műemlék azonosító: 930, törzsszám: 15634 - Temető tervezője: Schickedanz Albert.
