Description
English:
One storey L-shaped corner building. Built the Szeged branch of the Austro-Hungarian Bank as a 'banking house'. Late Eclectic, 1900. Modified design: architect József Hubert. Remodelled: 1906 (extension), 1938 (air raid shelter built), 1952. The L-plan one-storey building with rounded corners was built in two parts. On the corner of the building in ornate cartouche are the letters MNB (abrev. of Hungarian National Bank). Above the corner avant corps there is a parapet with balustrade. - 19 Deák Ferenc Street = 5 Vár Street, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

Egykor az Osztrák–Magyar Bank Szegedi fiókja 'bankház' épülete. Későeklektikus, 1900. Módosított terv: Hubert József építész. Átalakítások voltak: 1906, 1938, 1952. két részletben épült az L alaprajzú, lekerekített sarkú egyemeletes épület. Homlokzata a Vár utcáról indulva 4+K+4+iker+iker+6 tengely. Az épület sarkán díszes kartusban MNB betűk. Sarokrizalit felett kőbábos mellvéd, két oldalt az utcákra néző, tetőből kiugró, félköríves padlásablak van. A magasföldszint fordulójában udvarra néző hatalmas, színes üvegablak van a kartusban MNB betűk lendületes rajza.
