Summary edit

Description
English: Dead Mountain Hare leveret, Margery Hill Sad but interesting find on the slopes of Margery Hill. Mountain Hares were introduced to the Dark Peak by the Victorians and are common in this area. This dead leveret was obviously only a few days old; unlike rabbits, which are born blind and hairless in underground burrows, Mountain Hares are born fully furred and with their eyes open.
