  • BUSH -- In Brooklyn, Friday evening, Aug. 5, MARY EFFIE, infant daughter of Wm. Mack and Euphemia F. Bush, aged 13 months and 25 days. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, at the residence of John G. Meiggs. No. 190 Washington-st., Brooklyn, on Monday, Aug. 8, at 3 o'clock P.M.
  • COCK. -- At Great Neck, L.I., on 6th inst., FREDDIE, youngest son of George E. and Mary M. Cock, aged 4 years and 6 months. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, at Friends' Meeting-house, Manhasset, on third day. (Tuesday,) 9th inst., at 11 o'clock A.M.
  • CALDWELL. -- Suddenly, at Fordham, Westchester Co., on Saturday afternoon. JAMES, only surviving child of Janet and the late James Caldwell. Funeral will take place from his mother's house, in Fordham, on Monday, the 8th inst., at 3 1/2 o'clock. Cars leave 26th-st., at 2 1/2 o'clock.
  • FAIRMAN. -- In Brooklyn, on Friday evening, Aug. 5, of consumption. EUGENE A., only child of James B. and Angouleme P. Fairman, in the 18th year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his funeral, at the residence of his parents, No. 304 Washington-av., near Green-av.,on Monday, the 8th inst., at 2 1/2 o'clock P.M.
  • HENDERSON. -- Suddenly, at Montreal, Canada, JOHN HENDERSON, formerly of No. 603 8th-av., aged 29 years. The time of the funeral will be published in to-morrow's papers, to which his friends and the members of Greenwich Lodge No. 467, F. and A.M., are invited.
  • HORTON. -- Suddenly, on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Red Bank, N.J., THOMAS BECKWITH HORTON, eldest son of John and Mary Anne Harriet Horton, of Penn-st., Brooklyn. His remains were interred in the Cypress Hills Cemetery yesterday (Sunday.)
  • KISSAM. -- At Jamaica, L.[???]., on Saturday, Aug. 6, of paralysis, MARY A., wife of Dr. George H. Kissam. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from her late residence, in Fulton-st., Jamaica, on Tuesday afternoon, the 9th inst., at 2 1/2 o'clock. Cars leave South Ferry, Brooklyn, at 1 o'clock P.M.
  • LONG. -- On Saturday morning, Aug. 6, at 6 o'clock, of consumption, ANN E. LONG, wife of Alderman Jacob M. Long.
  • LAIRD. -- On Sabbath morning, Aug. 7, MARTIN LAIRD, late or Trainbuoy, County Donegal, Ireland, in the 74th year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from his late residence, No. 139 West 18th-st. Londonderry (Ireland) papers please copy. Our father must now be laid in the grave, His chair now be vacant, and cheerless our home; But our loss is his gain -- he dwel[???]s with his God, Where sin cannot enter, where death cannot come. Yet we cannot but grieve for a parent so dear, Though we know he is free -- his sufferings are o'er; We cannot but weep to see him in death sleep, The place that once knew him shall know him no more.
  • MARSHALL. -- In Roxbury, Mass., on Sunday, Aug. 7, of typhoid fever, LIZZIE, wife of Capt. Charles A. Marshall. Notice of the funeral will be given in the evening papers.
  • PATERSON. -- At St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday, July 30, CORNELIA BELL, third daughter of Rev. Andrew Bell Paterson, D.D., in the 18th year of her age.
  • PIGGOTTI. -- On Saturday evening, Aug. 6, AUGUSTA PIGGOTT.The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral, from the Meeting-house, Milton, Ulster County, N.Y., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 10 o'clock A.M.
  • MCKEACHIE. -- On Sabbath, Aug. 7, after a short illness, GEORGE, son of Thomas and Jane McKeachie, aged 11 years, 7 months and 12 days. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock on Monday, Aug. 8, from the residence or his father, No 241 West 1[???]th-st. The friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend.
  • MILLER. -- In East Hampton, L.I., on Thursday, Aug. 4, JEREMIAH MILLER, son of the late Jeremiah Miller, aged 59 years.
  • RAWDON. -- In Schenectady, Monday evening, Aug. 1, ANNIE LOUISE, aged 7 years and 6 months. Also, on Wednesday evening, ISABELLA, aged 12 years and 4 months, daughters of Margaret F. Rawdon and the late Freeman Rawdon.The remains taken to Little Falls for interment.
  • SCRYMSER. -- At Nyack, Rockland County, on Saturday evening, Aug. 6, MARY ELIZABETH, infant daughter of John and Clarinda Scrymser, of Brooklyn, aged 1 year and 2 months. The friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the residence of the parents, No. 14 Sidney-place, Brooklyn, on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
  • WALL. -- Suturday, of disease of the heart, at Manhattanville, on Saturday, Aug. 6, HENRY WALL, son of W.H. Wall, Esq. The friends of the family are invited to attend his funeral, from the residence of his father, on Tuesday next, the 9th inst., at 11 A.M.
  • WEIMER. -- In this City, on Saturday, Aug. 6, CATHARINE, wife of George Weimer, of Akron, Ohio. The funeral services will take place from the residence of her brother, Charles Weed, No. 274 Madison-st., on Tuesday, the 9th inst., at 2 P.M. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
  • WOTHERSPOON. -- At Manhasset, L.I., on Saturday, Aug. 6, JAMES WOTHERSPOON, in the 71st year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from his late residence, at Manhasset, on Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, without further notice. Friends can take the ferry from James slip or 34th-st., and connect with the 8 A.M. (L.I. Railroad) train for Mineola, where carriages will be in waiting to convey them to the residence. Carriages will also be in waiting at Atlantic Ferry, Brooklyn, at 4 P.M., for Greenwood.
