Deb Haaland Tours Infrastructure Needs in Albuquerque South Valley

Summary edit

Description
English: ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) continued her work on infrastructure joining Albuquerque City Council President Klarissa Peña and Bernalillo County Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada on a tour of infrastructure needs and projects in the South Valley. They toured major road intersections and interchanges, Crestview Bluff Open Space, the Route 66 Visitors Center site, West Mesa Memorial Park site, and West Central Community Development Group.

“It’s difficult to create economic opportunities and grow businesses when roads and infrastructure aren’t at a level that nurtures that growth. Today, I learned about the needs in the South Valley that will help prepare for economic growth while improving the quality of life for families who live here,” said Congresswoman Deb Haaland. “I’ll be taking what I learned today with me to Congress so that we can continue to build opportunity in our district.”

Congresswoman Haaland is committed to ensuring New Mexico’s First Congressional District is prepared for future economic growth so kids can grow up and have access to good paying jobs and opportunities in the state. Earlier this week, Haaland advocated for New Mexico infrastructure projects at a member’s day hearing in the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Hearing.
