Description
English: Petty Officer 2nd class Damon Jenkins reviews aerial reconnaissance imagery on a light table in the Carrier Vessel Intelligence Center aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) operating in the Indian Ocean on Sept. 24, 2004. The imagery is from F-14 Tomcats of Fighter Squadron 31 taken during a Tactical Air Reconnaissance Pod System (TARPS) mission. TARPS is used to provide target acquisition and identification, post-strike target assessment and maritime surveillance imagery. Jenkins is from Los Angeles, Calif.
