Description
English: President George W. Bush (center) and his national security team gather in the Pentagon's Executive Support Center for briefings on the latest developments in Iraq, Afghanistan and the global war on terror on Jan. 4, 2006. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Peter Pace (left), U.S. Marine Corps, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld (2nd from left), Vice President Dick Cheney (3rd from right), Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (2nd from right), and Chief of Staff to the President Andrew Card joined Bush for the briefings. Bush was briefed by senior commanders in person and via secure video teleconference.
