Description
English: U.S. Army Capt. Kellie Stewart (right) and Staff Sgt. Teresa Sipes prepare a dog for minor surgery during a medical civic action project in Monrovia, Liberia, on Sept. 14, 2009. The soldiers are participating in Africa Partnership Station, an international initiative developed by U.S. Naval Forces Europe/Africa to work with U.S. and international partners to improve maritime safety and security in African countries. Stewart is a veterinarian from U.S. Army Veterinary Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and Sipes is from South Plains District Veterinary Command at Fort Hood, Texas.
