Description
English: Petty Officer 3rd Class Robert Hill, of the 3rd Medical Battalion, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, examines a Royal Thai Marine to determine his medical condition during a mass casualty drill at Songkhla, Thailand, on May 9, 1996, as part of Exercise Cobra Gold '96. Cobra Gold '96 is the latest in a continuing series of U.S./Thai military exercises designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand. Hospital Corpsman Hansen is one of approximately 9,000 U.S. and 10,000 Thai personnel are participating in the exercise.
