Description
English: A U. S. Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet leaves trails of light in this time exposure as it launches at night from the flight deck of the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) on Nov. 25, 1998. Enterprise and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 3 are on station in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch, which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The Hornet belongs to Fighter Attack Squadron 312, Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, S.C.
