Description
English: Kelly Wilson, a horticulturist at Arlington National Cemetery, explains the purpose of planting milkweed, the only species of plant that Monarch butterfly larvae will eat, to a group of nearly 30 children, during the 16th annual Renewal and Remembrance Volunteer Day of Service at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., July 9, 2012. Each year hundreds of landscapers and lawn care professionals travel to the cemetery, providing an estimated $2 million worth of service as volunteers to help maintain the more than 600 acres of cemetery grounds.
