DescriptionDefensive-Aggregation-(Huddling)-in-Rattus-Norvegicus-toward-Predator-Odor-Individual-Differences-pone.0068483.s003.ogv |
English: Video of the acute social buffering effect. This video is of the first minute of a 50 min exposure session in Experiment 2 for a rat individually exposed to cat fur (left) and four rats exposed to cat fur in a group (right). In both videos the cat fur sample can be seen placed flush against the center of the left hand wall. This video clearly illustrates the increased stimulus contacts, less pronounced fur induced immobility, and greater time spent in the stimulus half of the arena in the group exposed rats – indicative of an acute social buffering effect. |
