Español: En los animales el aposematismo es casi siempre defensivo, buscando el reconocimiento como peligrosos por posibles depredadores.
Las ranas de éste género han demostrado carecer de veneno cuando se les cría en cautiverio, recientes han demostrado que estas ranas obtienen su veneno de un escarabajo ampliamente distribuido en Sudamérica al que utilizan como alimento. En cautividad se suelen alimentar de microgrillos y drosophila. |
