| Description |
English: Dengue is a mosquito-borne tropical disease. Outbreaks of this disease occur every year in Bangladesh, lasting from April/May to September/October. Although, cases are reported throughout the year.
The Bangladeshi health authorities reports the number of hospitalisations due to the dengue diseases. This divisional map is according to the place a patient was admitted, not as per the patient's native. (F. E., Dhaka Division also includes cases hospitalised in Dhaka due to better facilities, rather than their native divisions. Although, Dhaka Metropolis is the worst-hit city, so the average is somewhat accurate). This map represents the statistics from 1 January 2023 to 8 August 2023, as per the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). |
