Description
English: Picture postcard from ca 1900 with the monument in Schildhorn, commemorating to a legend of the slavic Fürst (prince, ruler) Jacza de Copnic (de:Jaxa von Köpenick). The monument was created in 1845 by the sculptor Friedrich August Stüler acted on a suggestion by Frederick William IV of Prussia. Schildhorn (german for: shieldhorn) is a headland in the river Havel, situated in the protected area Grunewald in the homonymous quarter Grunewald of Berlins borough Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Germany.
Deutsch: Postkarte von ca. 1900 mit dem Denkmal auf dem Schildhorn, das an die Sage um den Slawenfürsten Jaxa von Köpenick erinnert. Das Denkmal wurde 1845 von Friedrich August Stüler nach einer Anregung von Friedrich Wilhelm IV. entworfen. Schildhorn ist eine Landzunge in der Havel im Landschaftsschutzgebiet Grunewald im gleichnamigen Berliner Ortsteil Grunewald (heute Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf).
