Summary edit

Description
English: Blocked access to exploratory mining are on the Denniston Plateau, a 600 m portion of the Denniston-Stockton plateau which stretches 18 km, 600–800 m above sea level. Denniston Plateau has extensive coal reserves and contains the former mining town of Denniston. Its thin acidic soil and high rainfall has given rise to a unique and diverse ecosystem of low-growing plants, snails, and insects, with some species found only on the Plateau.
