Description
English: Denver Lock The first navigation lock at Denver was constructed in 1730. This was replaced in 1834 by a lock measuring 23m by 5.5m. The wooden V-gates were eventually replaced by these steel vertical gates, which increased the effective length of the lock by seven metres. The minimum cill draft was also increased to two metres.
