Description
Português: A Comissão Nacional da Verdade realizou na última terça (25/03), no Arquivo Nacional do Rio de Janeiro, audiência pública sobre a Casa da Morte de Petrópolis. Amigos e familiares de Inês Etienne Romeu prestam depoimento, relatando a história da única sobrevivente deste centro clandestino de tortura.

Celina Romeu, irmã de Inês, lembrou em seu depoimento que sua irmã desapareceu no dia 5 de maio de 1971. "Fomos a São Paulo, minha mãe e eu, atrás dela", disse.

Para ela, a prisão salvou a vida de Inês, "porque o regime não poderia mais matá-la sem se denunciar".

Também prestaram depoimento Modesto da Silveira, advogado que ajudou Inês a localizar a Casa da Morte em Petrópolis; Sérgio Soares Ferreira, amigo da família e Cleyton Rennó, advogado.
