Summary edit

Description
English: Lay-By on A1 between Leeming and Catterick. This lay-by is on the northbound carriageway of the Great North Road - at this point following the ancient Roman way of Dere Street. The little copse on the left is marked on the OS Map but has no name, but a litter bin would not go amiss as it would help one notice the natural feature rather than the refuse beneath it.
