Summary edit

Description
English: Deserted shingle beach. Many people enjoy the clifftop views offered by the Norfolk Coast Path/Peddars Way, up on the headland, skirting the cliffs seen here > 749744. The cliffs are steep, unstable and dangerous, there is no access path leading onto the beach, and walking on the shingle is difficult. The cliffs between Weybourne and Sheringham display sections of glacial sediments known as the Contorted Drift. The so-called Wroxham crag, a mixture of sand, clay, silts and stones, is resting on a white base of chalk. This chalk yields echinoids and brachiopods. Mammal and fish remains along with a wide variety of molluscs can befound in the thick shell beds and crag sands above.
