Werbekarte des Deutschen Holzarbeiterverbands, einer Gewerkschaft der holzver- und bearbeitenden Berufe. Sie hat die Form einer Ansichtskarte, die um 1910 postalisch versandt wurde. Neben einigen Berufen, deren Arbeiter im Verband vertreten waren, wie Tischler und Klavierbauer, fällt insbesondere die Holzarbeiter-Zeitung auf, das Organ der Gewerkschaft. Diese Zeitung erschien von 1893 bis 1933 wöchentlich. Die Bibliothek der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung hat sie digitalisiert ins Netz gestellt.Link zum Digitalisat der Holzarbeiter-Zeitung [1] Die Karte wurde um 1910 nach Altensteig an der Nagold geschickt mit diesem Text: “Werter Freund! Teile dir kurz mit, daß ich gut nach Stuttgart gekommen bin, und im Gewerkschaftshaus hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Leider habe ich jetzt schon Arbeit bekommen. Mein Geld ist mir bald ausgegangen, denn ich war in Stuttgart im Puff. Schreibe mir auch einmal. Ich arbeite in einer Wirtschaft. Es werden nur Eisschränke gemacht. Richte viele Grüße aus an das ganze [… Wer kann dies lesen?].“ |
