He died in 1783. SOITZ, G. C, a German engraver, who flourishedabout the year 1530. He executed some of theportraits for the Templum Honoris, published atVienna in the above-mentioned year. The same author, in his Delia Pit-tura Italiana, published in 1897, further remarks : On account of the disagreement between existingwriters concerning the most important artist of theLombardo-Milanese School, I permit myself tospeak of him at some length. This disagreementreferred to by Morelli is amply borne out by aperusal of the various Dictionaries of Art. AndreaSolario, Salario, Andrea Mediolensis, of Milan,del Gobbo, or Gobbo of Milan, has beenconfused with another Milanese artist, AndreaSalai. H
