Deutsch: Die Bergkirche zu Seiffen ist die evangelisch-lutherische Kirche in der Gemeinde Seiffen im Erzgebirgskreis von Sachsen. Sie ist das Wahrzeichen des Ortes und ein beliebtes Motiv der Erzgebirgischen Volkskunst. Die Bergkirche steht neben dem Friedhof in der Ortsmitte. Der Grundriss der 1776 bis 1779 erbauten Kirche enthält ebenso wie die Dresdner Frauenkirche ein Oktogon.
English: The Church from 1779 stands together with the graveyard in the center by the town of Seiffen. Seiffen is a centre of the wooden toy industry in Germany. The town is located in the district of Erzgebirgskreis, which is the south-center of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. Seiffen sits in the heart of the Erzgebirge, or the Ore Mountains, which are famous for many Christmas traditions. |
