Ahrweiler 1988 – 60 min Aufnahme/Schnitt/Kommentar: Ayten Fadel Auf den Weinbergen um Ahrweiler werden alljährlich am Samstag vor St. Martin vier Feuer und vier Fackelschaubilder der vier "Huten" abgebrannt. Die Junggesellen der Ahrhut bauen drei Wochen vor dem Martinsfest ihr Schaubild; darauf sammeln die Schüler die Schanzen für das Feuer. Das Abbrennen der Martinsfeuer und der Schaubilder aus ortsbezogenen Motiven ist mit einem Wettstreit der vier Huten verbunden: Das schönste Feuer und originellste Schaubild wird später auf dem Marktplatz bei einer Siegerehrung prämiert. |
