Description |
Deutsch: Die Kunstakademie befand sich von 1821 bis zum Brand 1872 im ehemaligen Galeriegebäude des Kurfürstlichen Schlosses. Im Erdgeschoss waren die Bibliothek, Wohnungen und Arbeitsräume untergebracht. Die Ateliers der Professoren befanden sich im ersten Obergeschoss. Weitere Arbeitsräume und der Raum der Landschaftsklasse lagen im zweiten Obergeschoss. Der sechzehnjährige Akademieschüler Andreas Achenbach malte das Ölgemälde 1831 innerhalb von zwei Monaten vom Fenster seiner elterlichen Wohnung aus. Er hat sich selbst in Mitte des Vordergrundes mit einer Zeichenrolle abgebildet. |
