Nederlands: Digging4data is een hulpmiddel voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in gebouwd erfgoed in Indonesië. “De toolkit biedt een stappenplan waarmee onderzoek structureel kan worden opgezet, met handige tips and tricks als relevante literatuur en belangrijke online bronnen.” Aldus Johan van Langen, projectleider bij het Nationaal Archief. “Hoewel de toolkit zich met name richt op Indonesische architecten, historici en erfgoedspecialisten, is het een handig hulpmiddel voor iedereen die archiefonderzoek wil doen naar gebouwd erfgoed in Indonesië van de 17e tot in de 20e eeuw.”
Gebouwd en geschreven erfgoed – Gedeeld cultureel erfgoed Digging4data is geschreven in opdracht van het Nationaal Archief en de Rijksdienst voor Cultureel Erfgoed en valt binnen het beleidskader van het Gedeeld Cultureel Erfgoed (GCE). Bij het samenstellen van deze toolkit is nauw samengewerkt met de Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur en het Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia. De 3 auteurs, Huib Akihary, Nadia Purwestri en Pauline van Roosmalen zijn deskundigen op het gebied van koloniale architectuur in Indonesië. Digging4data verschijnt zowel in het Indonesisch als in het Engels. Dankzij de Marinus Plantema Stichting worden 1.000 exemplaren voor de Indonesische doelgroep beschikbaar gesteld. De toolkit wordt in beide talen gepubliceerd op de websites van het Nationaal Archief, Rijksdienst voor Cultureel Erfgoed en Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur.English: Digging4data is a research guide for everyone who is interested in built heritage in Indonesia. “The toolkit offers a roadmap for structural research, with convenient tips and tricks including relevant literature and important online sources,” explains Johan van Langen, project leader at the National Archives of the Netherlands. “Although the toolkit mainly aims to Indonesian architects, historians and heritage specialists, it’s a handy aid for everyone who wants to do archival research about built heritage in Indonesia from the 17th to the 20th century."
Built and written heritage – Shared cultural heritage Digging4data was commissioned by the National Archives of the Netherland and the Cultural Heritage Agency and is part of the policy Shared Cultural Heritage. The toolkit has been developed in close collaboration with Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur and the Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia. The three authors, Huib Akihary, Nadia Purwestri en Pauline van Roosmalen are experts in the field of colonial architecture in Indonesia. Digging4data will be available online through the websites of the National Archives of the Netherlands and Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur in both Indonesian and English. Through support from the Marinus Plantema Stichting, a thousand physical copies will also be available for the Indonesian interested audience. |
