Deutsch: „Blumenkorb“ von Dinglinger (1701). Gold, Silber, Juwelen und Email

Zu den Glanzstücken gehören ein mit Email und Edelstein besetzter Rosenkranzbehälter, wohl um 1700 in Süddeutschland gefertigt, und ein silbervergoldeter, mit Edelsteinen besetzter Blumenkorb, eines der wenigen nachweisbaren frühen Großwerke der Brüder Dinglinger.

Der "von Gold mit schönen geschmelzten Blumen, Fliegen, und mit vielen Diamanten künstlich gemachte Korb", wie ihn Johann Melchior Dinglinger, seit 1701 Hofjuwelier in Dresden, beschreibt, war ein Geschenk, um den sächsischen Kurfürsten August I. für den Ankauf eines goldenen Kaffeeservices gnädig zu stimmen. Was gelang, wie Dinglinger notierte. "Nachdem Sr. Königl. Majt. obige spezifizierte Stücke alle besehen und allergnädigst beliebten zu behalten, haben höchst gedacht Sr. Königl. Majt. selbige insgesamt auf das genaueste und bedungen und behandelt vor: 50.000 Thlr. corrent". Das war sehr viel - und kann heute nicht wenig sein: 400.000 Pfund werden für dieses Stück aus dem Wettiner Familiensilber erwartet. ...E.B."
