Summary edit

Description
English: A solid is modeled by two rigid bodies linked by a spring. on the top picture, the velocity of the body is uniform. A collision creates a temporal discontinuity of the overall speed. If it occurs on the left part (bottom picture), then the right part keeps its initial velocity (inertia, Newton's first law) until the shock wave propagates through the spring. The temporal discontinuity of the speed thus reslts in a spatial discontinuity of the velocity field.
