Discussion of dissection
Description

Seen through an arch, de Graaf discusses the dissection with two companions. In front of the dissecting table are the bodies of a variety of animals and a living dog. To the right of the window, surgical instruments hang on the wall. A man in the background lies in bed, unwell. This is the title page to his 1671 work on pancreatic secretions.
