| Description |
English: Dismantled railway to Quainton Road 3. Looking south-east, the line of the former Aylesbury & Buckingham Railway built in the 1860s, see 963232, crosses this farmyard from behind the camera and goes to the right of barn in the centre, where a pile of rubble has been dumped. The farm buildings are not named on any map.
About 300m ahead, the railway joined what was then the Great Central Railway , see 930184, and then went on to Quainton Road station. This line, which is behind the line of trees on the right, is now single track line and in infrequent use. The next image in this sequence is 963270. |
