Presentation drawing for the Rider-Haggard window, with Archangels Michael and Raphael. Ink and watercolour. Inscribed and dated, 1925. The window was commissioned 1925 by the artist’s daughter Lilias in memory of Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) and the roundels depict his African farm, the Pyramids and a view of Bungay from the Vineyard Hills close to his home. 13.5x9.75 inches" |
