English: Dole stone, Hampton Meadow Hampton Meadow is a Lammas Meadow, one of only 20 still surviving. It is a rare type of meadow, 'shut up for hay' between Candlemas (Feb 2nd) and Lammas (Aug 1st). The meadow was divided into strips marked by dole stones.
