Summary edit

Description
English: Buses in the bus station in Douglas, Isle of Man. The red vehicles belong to Isle of Man Road Services, which operated across the whole island, while the cream one is of Douglas Corporation, which operated within the town.

The lead vehicle in the middle row is IoMRS bus 62 (reg. NMN 361 ), a 1951 Leyland Titan PD2/1 with Leyland highbrige bodywork (30 upstairs, 26 down). In 1968 it was renumbered 61, and by 1975 it had been converted to a tree lopping vehicle. It passed to Isle of Man Transport in 1976, before being finally withdrawn in 1981. It was then exported to West Yorkshire apparently for preservation, although by 2009 it was lying derelict in the Chepstow yard of the dealer London Bus Export Group. Since leaving the Isle of Man it has worn UK registrations 567 BVY and LSK 138.

The vehicle just visible to the right is IoMRS bus 31 (reg. XMN 345), a newer 1958 Leyland Titan PD3/3 with Metro-Cammel Weymann Orion highbridge bodywork (41/32). Having been withdrawn in 1982 after various renumberings, it has possibly found a new home in Madrid since 2004, following use in England as a training and tour bus, at some point being re-registered XMC 168A.
